For a sixth straight year, Ferocious Designs will participate in BlowUpRadio.com‘s Banding Together benefit for the Spondylitis Association of America. This year’s Banding Together webathon will feature live performances by over 40 acts that can be heard on BlowUpRadio.com Friday, October 16, through Sunday, October 18.

“I started doing the Banding Together benefits in 2007 after my wife was diagnosed with spondylitis. There is little I can think of worse than watching a loved one in pain and being powerless to help,” said Lazlo, the founder of BlowUpRadio.com and organizer of Banding Together. “This benefit is something I can do to make a difference and raise money to help find a cure.”

Spondylitis is a chronic inflammatory disease that causes inflammation and fusion in the vertebrae of the spine. To date, BlowUpRadio.com has raised over $10,000 for the cause, and raised awareness of the genetic disease, which the Centers For Disease Control says affects more than 3.2 million adults in the United States.

“When I started this benefit back in 2007, I was not sure enough artists would want to be involved to make this possible,” says Lazlo. “Nineteen years later, and I am so grateful to the original music community for always coming together for this benefit, allowing me to pair my passion for music with wanting to help worthy causes.”

Brian Kelley of Ferocious Designs will present a live set on Sunday, October 18, at 8 p.m. EDT. With a minimum $20 donation to the Spondylitis Association of America, listeners will receive a code to download the 46-track benefit compilation that includes “Nothing Left of You (Demo)” by Ferocious Designs.

“Once again, I will be playing keys and singing live to backing tracks,” said Kelley about his Banding Together set. “For the compilation, I’ve contributed a demo of a new song called ‘Nothing Left of You,’ about an early 1990s relationship with connections to Asbury Park’s famed Stone Pony and the band Marillion — whose lyrics I borrowed for the name of my music project.”
